LAYERING
This video shows the architecture of the final file, articulating the different layers and depth of the composition. Each component is layered upon the next, drawn from photographs Sparks has taken of different landscapes as well as birds which are drawn mainly from museums collections.
BEFORE & AFTER
Sparks's process is painstaking which requires removing the background from each photograph until she is only left with the object or landscape in isolation. Below shows before and after images.
